orange mocha brownies

i made this delicious, yummy brownies for a family gathering in PD, topped with chocolate ganache....i tried the recipe from Kak Rinn's tastes very, very good indeed...a perfect combination of chocolate with orange....tastes like the Zip chocolate wafer....

1 1/2 cups plain flour, sifted

2/3 cups cocoa powder

1 tblspn coffee powder

1 1/2 cups caster sugar

250gm butter, thawed

4 eggs, lightly beaten

1 tblspn vanilla essence

1 orange, juiced abt 1/2 cup and rind grated

1 cup of dark & milk chocolate chips mix (i used choc chips)

1. In a bowl mix all ingredients except orange juice, orange rind and choc chips. Beat using mixer at med speed until well combined.

2. Chuck in orange juice and rind. Mix again.

3. Stir in choco chips.

4. Pour into baking tray, pre-lined with baking paper overhanging from both sides.

5. Bake for about 25mins @ 170 deg cel.

6. Take out from oven, leave in tin for 5 mins and take out to cool on wire rack.

7. Pour and scrape choc frosting evenly on surface. Cut into squares.

200gm dark choc bar

1/4 cup whip cream

1 tblspn coffee powder

* Combine all in a casserole and microwave for 1 min on HIGH. Take out and stir well until you get a lovely choc frosting. Or just double-boil over medium heat
