Masak tempoyak


My mum's recipe:


Pounded ingredients:
Bird's eye chillis
Fresh tumeric


Leaves, finely chopped:
pucuk ubi
daun kadok
daun kunyit
pucuk paku
lemongrass
pucuk keledek
pucuk labu
petai
Others (the original recipe has 99 types of leaves)

Tempoyak
Coconut milk
Anchovies
salt


Method:
  • heat pan. put in the pounded ingredients and coconut milk. let simmer

  • add tempoyak

  • add in all the leaves and anchovies

  • let simmer

  • remove from heat

  • serve with hot rice
