food hunt - east coast vacation (part 3)

so, it's our last day in Kuantan...where to go for breakfast..??

i've never been to Kemaman Kopitiam situated in front of Berjaya Megamall....so, i suggested to have breakfast there...we went quite early as this place is usually packed with people....we had a really BIG breakfast...!!! we had black and white coffee (black coffee topped with cold milk), nasi lemak burung puyuh, roti bakar, pulut udang and pulut ayam, garlic bread....(i think, that's all)...we really enjoyed the meal because they were delicious....and the price...??(look at the photo below)....many celebrities came here and their photos were placed on the restaurant's wall (including Siti Nurhaliza and Datuk K)

the toasted bun was so delicious especially when you dippend inside your coffee...and the garlic bread was crispy and tasted marvellous...the burung puyuh were served hot with the nasi lemak (they will fry them when you order)...and the pulut panggang ayam and udang were so rich of flavour (and pricey too)

so, that's our last meal in Kuantan....overall, we always like it here and really love the food here...this will always be our destination of holidays for many years to come...

on the 2nd day we were in kuantan, we started off having a very east coast breakfast at Restoren R&R at Jalan Besar Kuantan (in front of Megaview Hotel)...we had a feast of nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, laksa Pahang and nasi lemak.....the meal was lovely and it was relatively cheap....

the almost finished nasi kerabu

since we were still full during lunchtime, we decided to have a light snack at Taman Teruntum...we had refreshing ABC, goreng pisang and fried fihsballs and cucur udang....

waiting for our ABC

then, off we went to Kuala Kemaman to have a table full of sata, otak-otak and keropok lekor with cold coconut drinks....there are many stalls at Kuala Kemaman, but we particularly like the stall that is between 2 mosques...it was packed with people...after that, we went shopping for keropok lekor and dried keropok at the nearby stalls...

otak-otak and hot keropok lekor

soon after that, we went to find the floating restaurant at Paya Bakau Recreational Park....it is built floating by the river bank and we ate kerapu steamed fish, vegetable soup, roti John special and a Thai dish which i can't remember what it is called, along with refreshing asam boi drink......the meal was wonderful and the price was reasonable....
