batang keladi masak tempoyak (yam in tempoyak gravy)


my mum's recipe...we simply love anything to do with tempoyak gravy....


yam cut into pieces
tempoyak (fermented durian)


bird's eye chilli ] pounded
tumeric ]


daun kesum
asam keping (dried tamarind skin)
water


  • blanch the yam for a while and strain. remove

  • put other ingredients in a pot. let boil.

  • add in the blanched yam.

  • add in salt according to taste. let simmer

  • remove and serve with hot rice
