steamed siakap

the good old steamer

it's cooked already!!!

a different style of steamed fish...i used siakap fish which is known to have nice and succulent fillet...this time i made it into tomyam-style gravy...absolutely mouth-watering....!!! Feed Me

1 siakap fish (or any other fish)



blended into paste:
2 shallots
1 inch galangal
1 tomato
2 red chillies


sliced/chopped:
2 garlic
1/2 inch ginger
kaffir leaves
coriander leaves
lime juice (from 2 lime)
fish sauce
salt
sugar
tamarind paste
lemongrass
baby carrots

  • rub the fish with tamarind paste. set aside
  • prepare the paste. add in lime juice,fish sauce, salt and sugar into the paste. mix well

  • pour the paste onto the fish in a dish

  • add in the sliced/chopped ingredients, lemongrass and baby carrots
  • steam the fish for 10 minutes or until cooked

Mama ni, tak tahulah kenapa, kalau steamed fish ni, ma macam tak berapa tahan bau dia... nak kena set balik kepala otak ni supaya mengatakan, bau steamed fish is nice! hehehe...
