food hunt - east coast vacation (part 2)

so, the food hunt continues...

on the 2nd day we were in kuantan, we started off having a very east coast breakfast at Restoren R&R at Jalan Besar Kuantan (in front of Megaview Hotel)...we had a feast of nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, laksa Pahang and nasi lemak.....the meal was lovely and it was relatively cheap....

the almost finished nasi kerabu

since we were still full during lunchtime, we decided to have a light snack at Taman Teruntum...we had refreshing ABC, goreng pisang and fried fihsballs and cucur udang....

waiting for our ABC

then, off we went to Kuala Kemaman to have a table full of sata, otak-otak and keropok lekor with cold coconut drinks....there are many stalls at Kuala Kemaman, but we particularly like the stall that is between 2 mosques...it was packed with people...after that, we went shopping for keropok lekor and dried keropok at the nearby stalls...

soon after that, we went to find the floating restaurant at Paya Bakau Recreational Park....it is built floating by the river bank and we ate kerapu steamed fish, vegetable soup, roti John special and a Thai dish which i can't remember what it is called, along with refreshing asam boi drink......the meal was wonderful and the price was reasonable....

lovely food on the table

oh, my!! we really had a fun day of eating so many things and we simply loved it!!!!
